Keep a Digital Calendar! Google Calendar is a great tool that can allow you (and anyone else you want) to have access to your calendar. Create sub-calendars to share out with others. Use the scheduling feature to allow others to schedule meetings. Create appointment slots for students to signup for advising or other appointments.
YouCanBookMe - Website add-on for Google Calendar that sets up incremental rules for booking, not specific slots.
Doodle - have to get a group of people together and need to decide on a day and a time? Spend days coordinating via email? Use Doodle to find the best time/day that works for everyone in your group.
Whenisgood - similar to Doodle, but has a different interface.
Keep Track of Everything/Get Organized!
Google Keep - use Google to save websites, add notes, etc. or use the Google Extension "Bookmark Manager" to save webpages alone or in folders - these will be synced anytime you log in to Chrome (and soon should be able to be made public).
Livebinders is an online 3-ring binder for organizing your resources. Get organized with tabs, subtabs, color-coding, etc. Choose whether your binder is private or accessible to others. Pocket - save articles, videos, tweets, etc. and view/read offline when it's convenient to you. Use the extensions and/or browser buttons to save easily.
Diigo is the answer to that age old question, "What website was that on again?" Instead of a never ending list of bookmarks, Diigo allows for you to save and tag the websites you find. It allows for you to search those tags and find that lost website. You can access your Diigo bookmarks anywhere and share them easily with your teachers and students.
OneTab - Whenever you find yourself with too many tabs, click the OneTab icon to convert all of your tabs into a list. When you need to access the tabs again, you can either restore them individually or all at once. Easily share the URL with links created from the tabs.
URL shorteners - NCSU Go Links & Google goo.gl - Create shortened links to make it easier to get your students and participants to your online resources.
Ditch that old flat bed scanner -- there's an app for that! Try PDF scanner or Jot Not Pro or many of the other apps - search for PDF Scan or Scan App. Particularly when you need to scan and then email or submit a document online, save yourself time by using just one device.
Wunderlist is the To Do list of To Do lists. It allows for prioritization of your different lists, syncs across devices and allows for the all important CROSSING OFF!
Last Pass is a password management software that allows for secure management of all of your online passwords.
Evernote is the one tool that can help you keep track of EVERYTHING. It has great syncing between tablets, phones and desktops. Your notes can be everywhere you are! Create categories and tags to organize. It even teams up with Skitch to keep track of your screenshots.
Making Life Quicker through Chrome Extensions and Tricks
Screencastify allows you to quickly make a screen capture video with audio. Need to answer a student question and would find it easier to just explain something rather than email. Try making a quick Screencastify - the video saves to GDrive and you can share with students.
Need to check a student view of a site, content from another Google account, etc. Need to just start a fresh browser without losing what you have open?
